What we offer

Start your career in Aquatics as a Swim Instructor Candidate! Pedalheads is currently offering a FREE swim instructor course between January 2nd – January 5th 2024. In return for the free course and certification we require your commitment to swim instructor shifts with us (paid at $21/hr) for 4-10 hours a week from January 8th - May 31st 2024.

What to know

Location: The Bishop Strachan Secondary Pool (298 Lonsdale Rd. Toronto, ON)

Course Dates: January 2nd (9:00am-5:30pm), January 3rd (9:00am-5:30pm), January 4th (2:30pm-9:00pm), and January 5th (9:00am-5:30pm)

This course is funded by Pedalheads, that is affiliated with the Lifesaving Society and is of no cost to those who are attend. If you want to learn more about this opportunity, apply today and you will be contacted from a Pedalheads representative shortly.

What you learn

Learn how to operate at the highest standards of excellence through our industry-
leading programs, while doing work that has meaning.

  • You will learn the Pedalheads Swim methods, procedures and guidelines for good performance.
  • Lifesaving Society swim instructor theory, peer teaching and shadowing training sessions.
  • At the end of the week you will walk away with a certification that is recognized throughout Canada to instruct Lifesaving Society swim lessons.

Who you are

  • Standard First Aid CPR-C by January 5th
  • Bronze Cross (need not be current)
  • Must be 15 years or older by course completion date
